Orange Bowl 2011 Highlights

This is the video highlights of the 2011 Orange Bowl between Virginia Tech against Stanford. Andrew Luck struggled out of the gates in the 2011 Orange Bowl on Monday night, but in the second half the would-be No. 1 NFL draft pick lit up the Virginia Tech Hokies. Luck's final stat line was 18-of-23 passing for 287 yards, four TDs, 12.5 yards per completion on 78% completion percentage. It looked as impressive as it sounds:

Orange Bowl Winners - Luck and Stewart Shines

Luck was outstanding, and earned the honor of Orange Bowl MVP. But let’s not forget about running back Jeremy Stewart, who was surprisingly outstanding for Stanford, as well.

Stewart’s first touch of the game was a 60-yard rush on a perfectly blocked off tackle run to the left, which set the Cardinal up for its first score of the game. From there, Stewart went on to carry 17 more times, totaling 137 yards and two touchdowns.

As our Stanford blog, Rule Of Tree, points out, Stewart’s performance couldn’t have been more unexpected. Coming into the Orange Bowl, the senior had rushed for just 38 yards on 13 carries all season.
